

Finance Commission
It is the Finance Commission's responsibility to be aware of the financial condition of the parish and to keep the pastor, the Parish Pastoral Council and the parish advised. This includes reviewing and preparing annual budgets, providing an annual report to the parish, accounting of weekly collections and conducting annual stewardship appeals.
The Commission is comprised of the pastor, business manager and 2-4 parishioners who are recommended and appointed by the pastor.
Worship Commission
Worship Commission oversees planning and review of the liturgical needs of the parish under the direction of the pastor with the goal of improving and maintaining the quality of parish liturgical celebrations. Areas of special interest include feast days, holy days, Lent, Advent, Rites of the Sacraments, and special celebrations.
Worship Commission provides the recruitment, training and commissioning of parishioners for the liturgical ministries of Servers, Lectors and Extraordinary Distributors of Communion.
The Worship Commission meets monthly on the fourth Thursday of the month or as needed. Meetings take place in Room 21 or the Ushers' Room and begin at 7:00 pm. All parishioners are welcome to attend.
Communications Commission
The Communications Commission oversees the communication, marketing and public relations needs of the parish. A main objective for the Commission is to provide and facilitate accurate and timely communication to, from and between parishioners, the community and the pastor.
Communications Commission is responsible for providing a Recording Secretary for all Parish Council meetings and for publishing the minutes of the monthly meetings in the bulletin.
Always looking for new effective ways to "get the message out" the Communications Commission is interested in your ideas or assistance. If you have a good idea for promoting the parish or communicating to parishioners or are able to assist in any way, contact Janice Stentz through the Parish Office.
Building & Grounds
The Building and Grounds Commission is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the parish grounds and facilities. Projects are initiated on an as needed basis or at the request of the pastor or Parish Pastoral Council. The Commission periodically organizes parishioners to assist with larger projects when possible, such as Spring/Fall grounds cleanup, painting, etc.

Education Commission
The mission of the Education Commission of St. Margaret Mary Parish is to explore, study and recommend policies and programs pertinent to faith formation and education in the parish community. The purpose of the commission shall be to provide council and advice in the implementation of
faith formation and educational opportunities for all parishioners.
The Education Commission consists of 4-6 parishioners elected to serve staggered three year terms. Member responsibilities include defining objectives and setting policies to guide the pastor and the Faith Formation Director in their work to provide comprehensive and varied programs of religious education. Elections usually take place in the Spring, with nominations taking place in the weeks prior. If you or someone you know would make a good candidate for the Education Commission, names can be submitted to the Parish Office at any time for consideration in the next election.
