Coming Up In The Parish
St. Paul Community Dinner - Tuesday, January 31
It is St. Margaret Mary’s turn to help serve dinner at St. Paul. Preparation begins at 4:00 pm. Dinner is served from 5:00 to 6:30 pm and clean-up is completed by 7:00 pm If you can help, please call the Parish Office 521-7387.
Catholic Schools Week - January 29 to February 5
OLG 2012-13 Registration Begins - Wednesday, February 1
Re-enrollment for current Our Lady of Grace families will begin February 1. Open enrollment begins March 1.
Feast of the Presentation of the Lord - Thursday, February 2
The blessing and lighting of candles takes place at the 8:00 am Mass, beginning in the Holy Family Room. Join us for the celebration of this feast on Thursday for this blessing and opening procession with lighted candles.
Memorial of St. Blasé - Friday, February 3
The tradition of the Church invokes the intercession of St. Blase for the continued blessing of health and freedom from disease of the throat and other illnesses. The blessing of throats will be given during the 8:00 am morning Mass on Friday following the Prayers of Intercession.
Souper Bowl Sunday - Sat/Sunday, February 4/5
Our youth will be participating in this nationwide event, standing at the doors of the church after Masses accepting donations. Money collected will be sent to Tender Mercies in Cincinnati which offers housing, meals and companionship to our brothers and sisters who suffer from mental illness.
YES Meeting - Sunday, February 5
Meeting will be in Faith Formation Office at 1:00 pm and is open to all students in grades 6-8.
Casino Night Planning Meeting - Tuesday, February 7
A meeting for the Parish Casino Night will be on Tuesday, February 7, 7:00 pm in Room 21 of the Parish Activity Center. Please join us as we finalize the plans for this parish fundraiser. We are also looking for volunteers to help with Casino Night. A sign-up sheet is in the Holy Family Room or come to the meeting to volunteer. WE ARE IN NEED OF DEALERS!
First Communion Parent Meeting - Wednesday, February 15
A meeting for parents of children making First Communion on May 6 is scheduled for 7:00 pm in Room 20. The children do not have to attend.
Casino Night - Saturday, February 18, 2012
From 7 pm – midnight. Be sure to save the date for a night of Texas Hold’em, 7 Card Stud, Black-Jack, Roulette, Big 9, as well as Split-the-Pot, Bingo-Ball, Basket Raffle and Instants. Admission to the Casino Night is $15 per person and includes $5 in gambling chips, food and soft drinks. Beer will be available for sale. We’ve already started selling the raffle tickets to the Reverse Raffle with a top prize of $599.00. The Raffle tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25. Call the Parish Office – 521-7387.

Bereavement Ministry
There can never be too many people involved in the Bereavement Ministry. If you have an interest in singing in the Funeral Choir, in being a Lector or Eucharistic Minister as needed at parish funerals, or in planning the Funeral Mass on a rotating basis with the family of the deceased, contact Dale Foley, (513) 742-2173.
Lend your voice to the Funeral Choir
Our Parish is blessed to have a funeral choir. The ministry of this choir is to serve the family of the deceased by leading the singing at the Mass of Christian Burial. Because every choir member isn’t available to attend every funeral (although we try), we can never have too many members! So won’t you consider lending your voice to this important ministry? We rehearse on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 9:30 am – 10:30 am. Contact Dale Foley, (513) 742-2173, or any current choir member for particulars, or just come to the Music Room 13 in the Parish Activity Center (PAC). We’d love to see you!
Looking for Lectors
There is currently a need for lectors at the 10:30 am Sunday Mass. Please consider joining this ministry. Training is provided. Contact the Parish Office to volunteer or for more information, (513) 521-7387.
